Annie's first day

Annie woke up for the first time in Nashville Thursday morning, and she was ready to look around. She must have decided overnight that things weren't as scary as they seemed yesterday because she was much more willing to be petted and to come to me.

She and her foster-mate, Torie, spent some nice time in the yard.

Annie was much more relaxed outside than inside at this point, but she really enjoyed all the new smells and sights.

Annie comes to Nashville

Annie came from Southland yesterday in a group of 4 awesome Fishdog hounds - that's Annie curled up asleep in the back corner of the van. She is the most shy of the group - you can see in the picture that she looked pretty anxious when she first arrived.

Her sire is the wonderful Dave the Dog, and she has many half-siblings that have been adopted through GPA Nashville.

We left the 2 boys in the group at the clinic, and Annie and Torie came back to the house with me. They'll both be here as fosters for a while. They will have their routine vetting on Monday.

By the end of the evening, Annie was coming to me for petting and had eaten a great dinner. Shy hounds may take a little longer to settle, but once they do, they really bond to their family. I see a real lover here!!! She's ADORABLE!!
